Certified Legal Specialist and Of Counsel
Certified family law specialist and military reservist attorney John H. Schweitzer is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Schweitzer spent five years on active duty with the United States Marine Corp as an officer in charge of legal assistance and served in both Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He is currently a major in the Marine Corps Reserves. Schweitzer specializes in all areas of family law, as well as military issues particularly in the areas of interstate and international jurisdiction and security clearances (PCLs and FCLs).
With a successful track record that spans nearly two decades, Schweitzer has served the Superior Court of California as assignable Judge Pro Tempore in the Family Support Division (which includes the Department of Child Support Services) and held the positions of chair and vice-chair for the San Diego County Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Military Law Committee. Schweitzer is a frequent seminar presenter on family and military issues for the local bar and bench and has been a featured expert on NBC San Diego.
