SLG was formed with a vision to have a legal team that connects to the client.  We are a team of Family Law Specialists who love helping people. Period. SLG was born out of the necessity to solve problems, not create more of them. People need to get through this difficult time with the least amount of turmoil and financial cost as possible. We are progressive thinkers and problem solvers; we will not create or chase down issues that have little or no return on your financial and emotional investment. Creating solutions is part of our best practices approach to your case, no matter the difficulties faced with the opposing party and/or their counsel.  Sometimes, even with steady and dependable counsel, it may still be necessary to go to trial but we will be with you every step of the way.

Founding attorney John Schweitzer is certified as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by only a select group of attorneys in the State.

SLG attorneys serve locally with the San Diego County Bar Association, Family Law Section, and serve currently and in the past as section chair and co-chair.  SLG attorneys are prolific seminar presenters and are in constant demand from local and national television news stations for their expertise in the field of family and military law.
